Fraulin Joseph, from the Rothstein lab successfully defended his PhD thesis, “Timing is everything: The link between chromosomal mobility and homologous recombination” on Thursday, December 17, 2020. Using budding yeast as a model system, he showed how chromosome movements after DNA damage help promote genetic recombination.
